A Virtual Assistant is a self-employed professional who provides remote support to businesses.
That might look like:
• managing inboxes and calendars
• assisting with client communication
• sending invoices and collecting payments
• sop creation and management
• organizing and overseeing product launches
• social media content creation and marketing
• website updates and management
• light bookkeeping services
• or other administrative, technical, creative, or organizational services
Most people already have transferable skills. The difference is learning how to turn those skills into a profitable, remote VA business. That’s what our training is designed to help you do.
Joyful Work Virtual Assistants Agency was built on one simple belief… work should support your life, not compete with it.
We serve two groups of people.
• People-centered business owners who want reliable, values-aligned virtual assistants.
• Aspiring virtual assistants who want to build flexible online careers through practical training and guided support.
We teach spiritually active, service-minded individuals how to launch their own simple, remote Virtual Assistant business using skills they already have.
Joyful Work Virtual Assistants Agency was founded by April Michelle Harris, a high level Virtual Assistant and VA Coach.
April began her journey by building her own Virtual Assistant business from home, using the administrative and organizational skills she already had.
What started as a solo service business quickly grew as others began asking how they could do the same.
As students continued learning, launching, and referring others, the vision naturally expanded into what is now Joyful Work Virtual Assistants Agency.
Today, April focuses on:
• teaching aspiring Virtual Assistants how to build flexible, independent businesses
• guiding students through practical, step-by-step training
• helping thoughtful business owners find reliable, values-aligned support
Her goal has always been simple… to help service-minded friends create simple, remote work that supports their life, not competes with it.
Important: Joyful Work Virtual Assistants Agency is a privately operated business initiative. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania or any congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. All training, placement services, and educational materials are provided independently and are not part of any religious organization or congregation activities.

No, Joyful Work Virtual Assistants Agency does not hire virtual assistants as employees.
Instead, we provide training and guided support for individuals who want to build their own independent Virtual Assistant businesses.
Some graduates may later be matched with business owners through our placement services, but they operate as independent professionals, not employees of the agency.
Our role is to educate, guide, and, when appropriate, facilitate introductions. Each Virtual Assistant remains responsible for their own business, services, pricing, and client relationships.
We do not accept open applications.
Our agency partnerships are offered selectively to Virtual Assistants who have completed our core training and demonstrated readiness to serve clients responsibly and professionally.
Partnership consideration is based on:
• completion of foundational training
• communication skills
• reliability and follow-through
• alignment with our standards of integrity and service
Not every Virtual Assistant will pursue or be a fit for agency partnership. Our primary focus is helping individuals build strong, independent businesses. Placement support is an additional opportunity for those who are prepared and aligned. If you are interested in becoming a Virtual Assistant, the first step is to attend our introductory masterclass and learn what the process involves.
